What do you want me to do for you?

Mark 10:43-44
"..Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant. And whoever wants to be first must be slave of all."
Noticed Jesus asked this same question "What do you want me to do for you?" twice in chapter 10 of Mark and answered both.
1. James & John the disciples
Request: "We want you to do for us whatever we ask. Let one of us sit at your right and the other at your left in your glory."
Answer: "Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant. And whoever want to first must be slave of all."
2. Bartimaeus the blind
Request: "Rabbi, I want to see."
Answer: "Your faith has healed you."

When you pray for something is it out of faith? Is it out of impulse because you want something or you are in desperate need of it?
Be careful what you ask for, there is always a price. One thing that I am sure of God answers!

Run Web Script On Time

How do you run a Web script on a task scheduler is to run your own script-based browser. That sounds geeky I know, But It's really easy.

HttpRequester.vbs
Option Explicit
On Error Resume Next

' Declare our vars
Dim objWinHttp, strURL

' Request URL from 1st Command Line Argument. This is
' a nice option so you can use the same file to
' schedule any number of differnet scripts just by
' changing the command line parameter.
strURL = WScript.Arguments(0)

' Could also hard code if you want:
'strURL = "http://localhost/ScheduleMe.asp"

' For more WinHTTP v5.0 info, including where to get
' the component, see our HTTP sample:
' http://www.asp101.com/samples/winhttp5.asp
Set objWinHttp = CreateObject("WinHttp.WinHttpRequest.5")
objWinHttp.Open "GET", strURL
objWinHttp.Send

' Get the Status and compare it to the expected 200
' which is the code for a successful HTTP request:
' http://www.asp101.com/resources/httpcodes.asp
If objWinHttp.Status <> 200 Then
' If it's not 200 we throw an error... we'll
' check for it and others later.
Err.Raise 1, "HttpRequester", "Invalid HTTP Response Code"
End If

' Since in this example I could really care less about
' what's returned, I never even check it, but in
' general checking for some expected text or some sort
' of status result from the ASP script would be a good
' idea. Use objWinHttp.ResponseText

Set objWinHttp = Nothing

If Err.Number <> 0 Then
' Something has gone wrong... do whatever is
' appropriate for your given situation... I'm
' emailing someone:
Dim objMessage
Set objMessage = Server.CreateObject("CDO.Message")
objMessage.To = "Your Name "
objMessage.From = "Your Name "
objMessage.Subject = "An Error Has Occurred in a " _
& "Scheduled Task"
objMessage.TextBody = "Error #: " & Err.Number & vbCrLf _
& "From: " & Err.Source & vbCrLf _
& "Desc: " & Err.Description & vbCrLf _
& "Time: " & Now()

objMessage.Send
Set objMessage = Nothing
End If

Where are you?

Where Are You (Album Natalie)
(Natalie feat. Justin Roman)

[Justin]
(I know you are out there baby...somewhere)
There is someone out there for me (I know there is somebody out there)
I know she is waiting so patiently (yeah) can you tell me her name? (Somebody tell me her name)
This life-long search is gonna drive me insane
How does she laugh? How does she cry? What's the color of her eyes?
Does she even realize I'm here?
Where is she? Where is she? Where is she? Where is this beautiful girl?
Who is she? Who is she? Who is gonna complete my world?
Where is she? Where is she? Where is this beautiful girl?
Who is she? Who is she? Who is gonna complete my world?
dadadadadada dadadada dadadadadada (where are you?)

[Natalie]
I'm staring out at the sky (I see you baby)
Praying that he will walk in my life
Where is the man of my dreams (right here) yea-yeah
I'll wait forever, how silly it seems
How does he laugh? How does he cry? What's the color of his eyes?
Does he even realize I'm here?
Where is he? Where is he? Where is he? Where is this beautiful guy?
Who is he? Who is he? Who is gonna take me so high?
Where is he? Where is he? Where is this beautiful guy?
Who is he? Who is he? Who is gonna take me so high?
dadadadadada dadadada dadadadadada (where are you?)

[Justin]
There is someone out there for me (there is someone out there for me)
I know she is waiting so patiently (so patient)
Can you tell me her name (can you tell me his name)
This life-long search is gonna drive me insane (that's right)

[Natalie]
How does he laugh? How does he cry? What is the color of his eyes?
Does he even realize I'm here?

[Justin]
Where is she? Where is she? Where is she? Where is this beautiful girl?
Who is she? Who is she? Who is gonna complete my world?

[Natalie]
Where is he? Where is he? Where is he? Where is this beautiful guy?

The key to Leadership - Manly Love

(from the book Tender Warrior - "God's intention for a Man" by Stu Weber)
Men must develop a thorough, biblical, manly love. In a word - headship.
It is leadership with an emphasis upon responsibility, duty and sacrifice. Not rank or domination. The key to leadership is serving - "not lording it over." (ouch!)

-------------------------------------------
"It is painful, being a man, to have to assert the privilege, or the burden, which Christianity lays upon my own sex, I am crushingly aware of how inadequate most of us are, on our actual and historical individualities, to fill the place prepared for us."
- C.S. Lewis

My Love Languages

The Five Love Languages

My primary love language is probably
Quality Time
with a secondary love language being
Acts of Service.

Complete set of results

Quality Time: 10
Acts of Service: 6
Physical Touch: 5
Receiving Gifts: 5
Words of Affirmation: 4

Information

Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.

Browser eMessenger and AJAX

Have you heard about AJAX? not the detergent soap but the programming style.
Asynchronous JavaScript And XML, or its acronym, Ajax (Pronounced A-jax), it is a Web development technique for creating interactive web applications. The intent is to make web pages feel more responsive by exchanging small amounts of data with the server behind the scenes, so that the entire Web page does not have to be reloaded each time the user makes a change. This is meant to increase the Web page's interactivity, speed, and usability.
What's the good thing about it? Well one you I can use YM, IM, AOL, and other chat application on my browser even without installing it. Which means i can talk to my friends anywhere in the world as long as i have an internet connection and a browser regardless of OS or web browser.

I'll just post some of the links here for me to remember it... so that in case I need to use this links in the future.
